Fragile, ever-changing landscapes caught between the forces of nature, climate change, and culture … Islands are the focus of the exhibition Sand and Salt – Islands Found and Lost. The exhibition explores historical and contemporary processes of the formation and disappearance of islands in the world’s oceans. Works by international artists – ranging from photography, video, installation, drawings, and sculpture to live-action role-playing – explore islands as political, ecological, social, and dreamlike spaces. Christoph Goritz, chairman of Verein der Kunstfreunde für Wilhelmshaven, invites you to join a guided tour of the exhibition.
